2024 special edition — Uiler Costa-Santos × MUDHABA

Every year I release a small-format photograph from my ongoing series. For the 2024 special edition I chose an image from my research Coroas, part of the long-term series Sizígia. In this edition, 50% of the proceeds go to the creation of a library of Black photographers, to be housed at the MUDHABA headquarters.

The Movimento Ubuntu de Direitos Humanos Distrital de Amado Bahia was conceived and is led by professor Jayro Pereira de Jesus. MUDHABA is a programme/territory that promotes philosophical practices based on Afro-diasporic thought, understanding presence and the collective as transforming links. It works in Amado Bahia, a district of Mata de São João, in the metropolitan region of Salvador.
